What ARE TEST SCENES?
When we are in pre-production for a film, we like to test equipment and vibe with new cast and crew members! We do this by filming a random scene using the new equipment and working with the new people on the team. You can see some examples of past test scenes here.!
What does this involve?
These scenes are usually filmed in Columbus, Ohio. Filming takes around 2-4 hours on a weekend or weekday evening. The genre/dialogue scene that we choose is usually improv and will depend heavily on the equipment and crew we are working with that day.
Do i need to have acting experience?
No, you don’t need to have acting experience. You just need to show up to set on time and come with good vibes!
What if i want to be on the crew?
No problem, fill out the form and select crew! Let us know which position(s) in the Crew field.
what do i get for my time?
You get a scene for your acting/crew reel, social media exposure, networking with fellow actors and filmmakers, and possible collaboration with us in the future!
WHAT DON’T I GET?
This is an unpaid role (for us, too!), and we cannot provide expenses for food, lodging, or travel. We also cannot guarantee a cast role or crew position in a future film.
